In a recent one-day workshop held at the Federal Secretariat Complex in Katsina, Mrs. Josephin Dayilim, Director of the North-west Zone for the National Agency for Food, Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), urged small and medium-scale enterprises (SMEs) to comply with regulatory standards to ensure consumer safety.
The workshop, attended by representatives from various sectors including ATWAP, NAPPMED, Agrochemical Dealers, Master Bakers, Supermarket Operators, and Fast Food Restaurants, highlighted the importance of adhering to prescribed standards.
Dayilim emphasized that such compliance is crucial for both public health and national economic growth.

“This event underscores NAFDAC’s commitment to ensuring the quality and safety of products in the market,” Dayilim stated. “Katsina, with its significant agricultural base and burgeoning entrepreneurs, needs this guidance to ensure products meet regulatory standards.”
Alhaji Abdullahi Abdullahi, Chairman of the Bakers Association in Katsina, assured that the issues faced by local bakers will be addressed in line with NAFDAC policies.
He encouraged members to follow NAFDAC guidelines to ensure smooth business operations and foster a better working relationship with the agency.
