NAFDAC enforcement officers have uncovered an illegal alcohol production facility in Lagos Island, Lagos State, seizing goods worth an estimated N200 million.
NAFDAC shared this information on their active X account, urging the public to remain vigilant when purchasing alcoholic beverages.

The operation, based on intelligence reports, led to the arrest of three suspects involved in the illicit trade.

The raid resulted in the confiscation of over 2,000 cartons of empty bottles, packaged drinks, a mini plastic mixing tank, an improvised filter, and various packaging materials.

NAFDAC Director General, Prof. Moji Adeyeye, emphasized the agency’s commitment to safeguarding public health as investigations continue, with prosecution pending for those involved.
