The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has dismantled an illegal operation at the Lagos Trade Fair Complex, where expired alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages were being rebranded for resale.
During a raid led by NAFDAC’s Investigation and Enforcement Directorate, officials apprehended two individuals who were caught relabeling expired beverages with falsified date markings. The operation also uncovered tools used for the illicit activity, including newly printed labels, date-marking equipment, and discarded expired labels.
