The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) executed a targeted raid at Maiduguri’s bustling Monday Market. The agency highlighted the raid and its objectives in a detailed post on its official X handle, emphasizing its commitment to tackling the proliferation of these hazardous products. The operation is part of NAFDAC’s broader initiative to combat dangerous cosmetics, which pose significant health risks to users. The agency’s actions reflect its dedication to public health and regulatory enforcement.
Following the successful raid, NAFDAC plans to impose stringent penalties on those found guilty of violating its regulations.
