Mr. Felix Gbolade, the Zonal Commandant of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), has pledged the agency’s commitment to partnering with NAFDAC to address the scourge of adulteration and counterfeiting of products in the North-West region.
Gbolade, overseeing operations in Sokoto, Kebbi, and Zamfara states, made this declaration during his recent visit to Mr. Garba Adamu, the Coordinator of NAFDAC, in Sokoto on Tuesday.

Expressing appreciation for NAFDAC’s extensive services, Gbolade emphasized NSCDC’s ongoing collaboration with the agency to fulfill the mandates of both organizations. He underscored the readiness of NSCDC, with its vast network of intelligence and enforcement officers in the region, to work hand in hand with NAFDAC to safeguard public health.
The visit aimed to reinforce the existing partnership and deliberate on areas for further alignment of their activities.
In response, Adamu thanked Gbolade for the visit, noting its significance in revitalizing joint efforts aligned with their respective mandates. He lauded NAFDAC’s unwavering commitment to combatting the circulation of counterfeit, adulterated, unregistered, and banned products, emphasizing its critical role in ensuring public health and national safety.
