The federal government has honored over 15 Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and two state governments for their innovative business activities, job creation, and economic support initiatives. These awards were given as part of efforts to support and encourage small-sized businesses to compete internationally.
From over 200 contestants, winners included Desoor Bags for excellence as an outstanding MSMEs clinic participant and Tarufa Management Enterprises, which won in the male category. CDIAL AI was recognized for technology and innovation, while Mamachiz Global Enterprises Ltd excelled in furniture and woodwork.

Additional accolades included the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency’s award for manufacturing excellence to Bimkaf Palace Nigeria Limited, and the Bank of Industry’s MSMEs of the year award to Dharkagempire Ltd. Lamshef’s Collection Global Services Nig. Ltd received the Nigerian Export-Import Bank award for fashion & style, and JHOS Carryall Enterprises was honored for excellence in leather works by the Development Bank of Nigeria.
Other recipients were Kenmal Vin Nigeria Limited for excellence in beauty and wellness by NAFDAC, Lafbart Innovations and Consulting Ltd for tax compliance by the Federal Inland Revenue Service, Food is Medicine Nigeria Limited for excellence in agriculture by the National Sugar Council Development, and Heartofjere for creative art by the National Tourism Development Authority.
Benue and Katsina State governors were also recognized for their support of SMEs during the event held at the Presidential Villa on Thursday night.
Vice President Kashim Shettima, represented by Deputy Chief of Staff Ibrahim Hadejia, emphasized the significant impact MSMEs have on unemployment and security, marking this year’s MSMEs Day by addressing their challenges and solutions. Senior Special Assistant to the President on Job Creation and MSMEs, Tola Adekunle-Johnson, appreciated the AU Commission and partners for their support, highlighting Africa’s potential to achieve single-digit facilities for MSMEs through these initiatives.
