The Ministry of Finance and Development Planning (MFDP) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Liberia Institute of Public Administration (LIPA) to train 221 staff members in key areas aimed at improving efficiency and service delivery.
The agreement will see 175 staff receive customer service training, while 46 drivers will undergo safety training. Speaking at the signing, Deputy Finance Minister for Administration, Bill McGill Jones, emphasized that the partnership aligns with the government’s commitment to enhancing capacity across all sectors.

He highlighted that the initiative is part of President Joseph Nyuma Boakai’s vision of empowering Liberians through skills development and ownership of national processes.
Director General of LIPA, Hon. Nee-A-lah Varpilah, expressed confidence that the training would build a stronger and more capable workforce, starting from the grassroots of the civil service.
The MOU reaffirms the government’s resolve to invest in its workforce, ensuring that employees are equipped with the necessary tools to drive national growth and development effectively.
