The Federal Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr. Doris Uzoka-Anite, recently visited Kano State to commission a new production plant aimed at boosting sack production for Nigeria’s agricultural sector.
The plant is part of a broader expansion strategy to support local industries and strengthen the nation’s economy.
Dr. Uzoka-Anite commended the company behind the project for its adherence to international standards in quality, safety, and environmental practices.
The company, which employs over 13,000 workers across various sectors, plays a key role in driving economic growth and job creation in Nigeria.

In addition to expanding its production capabilities, the company has invested in energy sustainability with a 31-megawatt LNG power plant and a 5-megawatt solar system to reduce strain on the local power grid.
During the visit, the company’s CEO emphasized the importance of public-private partnerships, urging the government to implement investment-friendly policies that could spur innovation and further economic progress.
The minister’s visit underscores the government’s commitment to fostering industrial growth through collaboration with the private sector, creating a path toward a more sustainable and prosperous economy.
