Starting November 2024, Microsoft will empower businesses to develop and manage autonomous AI agents, streamlining routine operations across various sectors.
This new feature, introduced through Microsoft’s Copilot Studio, is set to revolutionize processes in sales, service, finance, and supply chain management.
In a blog post, Microsoft, valued at $3.20 trillion, emphasized its commitment to making AI-first business processes accessible to organizations worldwide.
The post announced that Copilot Studio’s agentic capabilities will enter public preview next month, enabling businesses to create autonomous agents tailored to their needs.

The release will introduce ten new agents integrated with Dynamics 365, automating key functions such as lead generation, sales order processing, and supply chain management.
These agents will harness data from Microsoft 365 Graph, Dataverse, and other sources to assist in various operations, including IT support and employee onboarding.
Major firms like Clifford Chance, McKinsey & Company, Pets at Home, and Thomson Reuters are already leveraging these AI tools.
For instance, Pets at Home has enhanced its profit protection efforts, potentially achieving significant cost savings, while McKinsey’s client onboarding agent has cut lead times by 90%. Thomson Reuters’ legal due diligence agent has shown promise in halving task completion times.
