What inspired you to venture into the skincare business?

My passion for beautiful, smooth, and clear skin has been with me since childhood. This deep-seated passion inspired me to help others achieve the same, enhancing their confidence along the way.

Could you share some of the challenges you’ve encountered in your business journey?

There have been a few challenges. Firstly, there’s a discouraging factor when it comes to the use of unsafe products masquerading as organics, which can harm people’s skin. Secondly, there’s the cost factor. Skincare equipment and raw materials are expensive, and with ongoing inflation, these costs are steadily rising.

How do you ensure the integrity of your business to build trust with your customers?

Maintaining the integrity of my business is crucial to earning my customers’ trust. I assure my clients that I meticulously research the formulation of my products, using the right ingredients suitable for different skin types and tones. This dedication results in positive reviews and recommendations from satisfied customers.

Could you tell us about the competition between organic brands and Promix products? How has it impacted your business?

Organic skincare brands are sometimes mistakenly associated with pro-mixing. This misconception can deter potential customers. While this doesn’t necessarily work in our favor, I remain steadfast in staying true to my product’s authenticity and quality.

How would you rate the growth of your business so far?

From the outset, my business has experienced steady growth. I started with rudimentary packaging and no branding, even using containers from relatives. Today, I have successfully registered my brand with CAC, and my products are well-branded. While I acknowledge that there’s still room for improvement, I am on an upward trajectory.

In what ways has inflation affected your business, and what strategies have you employed to mitigate its impact on both your business and your customers?

Inflation has led to an increase in product prices. To mitigate this, I plan for the long term and nurture strong relationships with my customers. This way, I avoid frequently raising prices in response to minor inflation.
