Mr. Adewumi Adeyemi, representing Obokun in the Osun State House of Assembly, has introduced an interest-free loan scheme totaling N8 million, benefiting 600 women traders in his constituency.
This initiative, aimed at supporting grassroots small businesses, was launched with an initial N5 million contributed by Adeyemi.
Governor Ademola Adeleke’s elder sister, Mrs. Modupe Adeleke-Sanni, added N2 million, and the Speaker of the House, Mr. Adewale Egbedun, contributed N1 million.

During the launch, Adeyemi stated that the loan fulfills his campaign promise to empower women financially and promote independence among small-scale business owners. The scheme is open to more participants, focusing on young women entrepreneurs.
Osun State PDP Chairman, Mr. Sunday Bisi, urged beneficiaries to utilize the funds effectively, aligning with Governor Adeleke’s grassroots support programs.
