Ajigbotafe emphasized the importance of collaboration between the government and registered SMEs and MSMEs to foster business growth and development. He urged all SMEs and MSMEs to engage with associations and leverage the support offered by the Lagos State Government to enhance their businesses. He encouraged NASME members to provide comprehensive data on their members and propose innovative business plans to facilitate government support.
In response, the Chairman of NASME, Otunba Dupe Dada, pledged to compile and present the requested data. She also urged registered SMEs and MSMEs to focus on branding their products for export rather than seeking individual migration, commonly referred to as “japa.” She emphasized that promoting Nigerian products for export will contribute to increased foreign exchange earnings for the country.
