Lagos State Government has rolled out the “Ounje Lo Re Awo” programme in Apapa-Iganmu LCDA, promoting healthy eating while generating opportunities for local small businesses.
The initiative, led by the Ministry of Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, combines nutrition education with the distribution of food packs, supporting women-led vendors, food processors, and micro-entrepreneurs across the community.
Officials highlighted that improving family nutrition not only enhances health outcomes but also drives demand for local food products, creating new markets for SMEs in meal preparation, food supply, and healthy snacks.
