The Kwara State Commissioner for Agriculture and Rural Development, Dr. Afees Abolore Alabi, participated in the “Strategy Co-Creation Workshop” organized by the National Agricultural Land Development Authority (NALDA) in Abuja.
Themed “Alliance for Sustainable Agricultural Land Development & Food Security,” the event convened key stakeholders to explore strategies for optimizing land use and boosting agricultural productivity.
Dr. Alabi emphasized Kwara State’s dedication to fostering agricultural innovation, strengthening the agribusiness value chain, and promoting modern farming techniques.
He highlighted the government’s proactive approach to large-scale food production and agro-industrialization through strategic collaborations.
“Kwara State remains committed to equipping farmers with essential resources, modern technology, and financial support to drive food security and economic growth,” he stated.

Dr. Alabi also commended Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for policies that support mechanized farming and improve farmers’ access to inputs.
As the planting season nears, the state is intensifying efforts to provide farmers with quality inputs and financial aid.
During the workshop, Dr. Alabi engaged with counterparts from other states and held discussions with NALDA’s Executive Secretary, Mr. Segun Corneleus Adebayo, on expanding agricultural opportunities in Kwara.
The event featured high-level attendees, including Senator Kaka Sheu, Minister of State for Agriculture Dr. Aliyu Kora Sabi, and Minister for Humanitarian Development Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda, among others.
