In response to the recent devastating fire at Dosumu Market in Lagos State, the Kwara State Social Investment Programme (KWASSIP) has allocated N32,600,000 to support traders of Kwara origin whose businesses were impacted. The symbolic cheque presentation took place at the KWASSIP office in Ilorin, the state’s capital.
Dr. Abdulwasiu Tejidini, the general manager of KWASSIP, conveyed Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s sympathies to the victims of the inferno. He emphasized the governor’s unwavering commitment to the welfare of all Kwarans, irrespective of their geographical location.
“Today, we are presenting a cheque of Thirty-two million, six hundred thousand naira to Kwara indigenes residing in Lagos State who were affected by the recent Dosumu Market fire. This act underscores Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s dedication to the well-being of Kwarans everywhere,” Tejidini remarked.

The governor’s ongoing efforts to support Kwarans were highlighted, with assurances of continued assistance from the administration.
Mallam Abdulganiyu Sebutu, chairman of the committee appointed to receive the funds, expressed profound gratitude for the substantial financial aid. He lauded the governor’s extraordinary generosity, noting that AbdulRazaq has truly proven to be a supportive leader for Kwarans both at home and abroad.
