The Kebbi State Government has unveiled substantial budgetary plans for 2025, targeting the growth and development of small and medium-scale enterprises (SMEs) across the state.
This was announced by the Commissioner for Commerce and Tourism, Abubakar Dakingari, during the swearing-in of newly elected executives of the Market Traders Association in Jega Local Government Area.
Addressing the gathering, Professor Suleiman Khalid, Chairman of Kebbi State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), emphasized the need for the association to champion a shift from trading to manufacturing.
According to him, this transformation would not only encourage innovation but also create job opportunities for the state’s youth.

The new Chairman of the Jega Market Traders Association, Murtala Wali, expressed gratitude for the state government’s continued support.
He pledged the association’s commitment to fostering collaboration with the government to drive economic growth and generate employment opportunities for the local community.
The 2025 budget provision highlights Kebbi’s dedication to empowering SMEs as a cornerstone for sustainable economic development and job creation.
