Kano revives training institutes to boost skilled workforce, economy

Kano State Governor Abba Yusuf has reopened two long-abandoned training institutes specializing in livestock and horticulture, a move aimed at invigorating the local economy by creating a skilled workforce in agriculture.

At the event, Governor Yusuf presented admission letters to 340 students, urging them to embrace this training as a pathway to employment and economic self-sufficiency.

The Livestock Training Institute and the Horticulture Training Institute, both neglected for years, now stand as vital hubs for practical skills that align with Kano’s economic needs.
