The federal lawmaker representing Fagge Federal constituency in Kano State, has disbursed N5 million to 43 entrepreneurs as start-up capital.
During the disbursement ceremony held in Fagge Local Government Area, popularly known as MB Shehu, highlighted that the initiative aims to provide financial assistance to entrepreneurs to invest in their existing businesses.
He expressed gratitude to the beneficiaries for their support during the 2023 general elections, stating that the gesture is a token of appreciation for their commitment to his success and that of the NNPP.
Out of the total sum, 16 beneficiaries received N200,000 each, while another group of seven entrepreneurs received N100,000 each, and 20 others received N50,000 each.

Shehu disclosed that the funds were sourced from his monthly salary as a lawmaker and that similar empowerment programs would be held monthly, covering different wards in Fagge constituency until December.
“This is not a constituency project. It is a gesture from my monthly salary as a lawmaker to support those who worked and supported us towards our election success,” Shehu stated, emphasizing that the initiative aims to uplift youths and women who played crucial roles during the elections.
He urged the beneficiaries to utilize the funds wisely and invest in their businesses to achieve sustainable growth.
Shehu also announced plans to initiate various development projects for his constituency and enhance empowerment schemes to further uplift the socio-economic status of his constituents.
