The Kaduna state government has launched a significant digital skills training program and support for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), targeting 100,000 youth in partnership with GFA Technologies.
This initiative, unveiled on Wednesday at the Kaduna ICT Hub, aims to harness the potential of the digital economy to create jobs and promote economic prosperity.
Dr. Hadiza Balarabe, the state deputy governor, emphasized the alignment of this project with the government’s vision to leverage digital opportunities for job creation. Represented by Engr. Martins Galadima, the Senior Special Assistant on Stakeholders Relations, she highlighted that the Kaduna Digital Skills Programme is a pivotal step towards empowering youth and MSMEs in the state.
Participants will receive training in various digital competencies, including device usage, information evaluation, content creation, and online safety.

Balarabe praised the collaboration with GFA Technologies, stressing the importance of such partnerships in driving economic growth and enhancing skills. She reaffirmed the government’s commitment to initiatives that boost the capabilities of its people.
Mr. Tunji Oke, co-founder and chief commercial officer of GFA Technologies, added that the training would be delivered in phases, covering technology-adjacent skills, core and advanced technology skills, and soft skills.
