The Commissioner for Business Innovation and Technology (MBIT), Patience Fakai, revealed plans to revolutionize the state’s business landscape. Speaking with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Kaduna, Fakai outlined a multifaceted approach through the Kaduna State Enterprise Development Agency (KADEDA) to support Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) across all 23 local government areas.
Central to this initiative is the meticulous gathering of data on SMEs, ensuring inclusivity and accuracy in grant distribution, as emphasized by Governor’s directive. Fakai stressed the importance of educating citizens on business registration procedures and grant accessibility to enhance financial stability.

The state is also witnessing the construction of skill acquisition cities in Igabi, Soba, and Zangon Kataf, catering to diverse vocational training needs across the senatorial zones. These cities are envisioned as hubs for youth and women empowerment, providing opportunities for gainful employment and contributing to curbing insecurity by keeping the youth engaged.
Furthermore, Kaduna aims to leverage its rich historical heritage to boost tourism, with plans to explore sites such as Kagoro Hills, Nok Museum, and Queen Amina Historical Site. Through these efforts, the state aspires to foster economic growth while preserving its cultural legacy.
