She earned her degree in Architecture from the Federal University of Technology, Minna, Niger State, and began her career in the construction industry, where she gained valuable experience over five years. Seeking new challenges, Seyi pursued a Master’s in Property and Facility Management from Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia, Johor.

Upon her return to Nigeria, Seyi transitioned to the advertising sector, joining Afro Media, Nigeria’s pioneering Out-of-Home advertising company. Her career journey reflects a remarkable evolution from architectural design and construction to leading operations and innovation in the rapidly evolving digital signage industry.

When we say Xanda Technologies, what comes to mind, and how did it come about?

Xanda Technologies is a signage solutions company providing digitized signage solutions that simplify communication and engagement for brands, organizations, and stakeholders. We specialize in LCD and LED screens, hotel TVs, and more.

The idea for Xanda came about when a friend of mine attended a seminar abroad and saw the potential of digital signage. Inspired by this, we decided to revolutionize the signage landscape in Nigeria, moving from traditional to digital modes of communication.

What’s the most exciting project Xanda Technologies has tackled recently?

One of our most exciting projects involved the installation of a transparent LED screen for a bank in Surulere, Lagos. It was the first of its kind, and it posed some unique challenges.

However, seeing the project come to life was truly rewarding. The screen is like a window blind but doubles as a digital display, providing a cutting-edge advertising solution.

How does Xanda’s tech enhance guest experiences in unique ways?

Our technology, especially the hotel TVs, is designed to enhance guest experiences by providing interactive services.

They offer localized information like local attractions, amenities, and in-house promotions, creating a personalized and engaging experience for guests. This aligns with Xanda’s motto of bridging the gap between traditional and digital communication.

As the Managing Director, what inspired your shift from architecture to leading Xanda Technologies?

After five years in the construction industry, I realized that I needed a change. The repetitive nature of construction projects became less fulfilling for me. I decided to explore new challenges and innovations in digital technology, which led me to Xanda Technologies.

The shift was driven by a desire to leverage my skills in a different industry and embrace new ways of enhancing organizational efficiency and profitability.

Can you share a big challenge Xanda faced and how you turned it around?

The digital signage market is still relatively new in Nigeria, so one of our biggest challenges was convincing clients to transition from traditional to digital signage solutions.

We overcame this by demonstrating the benefits of digital signage, such as increased engagement and a modernized brand image. Continuous education and showcasing successful projects helped us turn the tide.

How does Xanda use data to drive its tech innovations?

Data is at the core of our innovations. We use data analytics to understand client needs, market trends, and customer behavior. This helps us tailor our solutions to meet specific requirements and ensures that we stay ahead in the digital solutions market.

What’s been the secret to Xanda’s success in the digital solutions market?

The secret to our success lies in our adaptability, customer-centric approach, and commitment to quality. We focus on providing tailored solutions that align with our clients’ goals while staying ahead of technological advancements.

What upcoming tech trends is Xanda most excited about?

We are particularly excited about the advancements in interactive digital signage and AI-driven advertising solutions. These trends are set to revolutionize how brands communicate and engage with their audiences.

In the next few years, where do you see Xanda Technologies?

In the next five to ten years, I see Xanda Technologies becoming the first-choice provider for digital signage solutions in Nigeria, recognized for our innovation, reliability, and exceptional service.

What inspired you to pursue a career in Architecture and later transition into Operations Management?

I was inspired by the works of Nigeria’s first female architect and the realization that architecture involves both creative and technical aspects. My transition into operations management was motivated by a desire to explore new avenues where I could apply my skills in a more dynamic and tech-driven industry.

If you could give your younger self one piece of advice, what would it be?

I would tell my younger self to embrace change and challenges more boldly. Each challenge is an opportunity to learn and grow, so never shy away from exploring new fields and ideas.
