Jigawa State Governor, Umar Namadi, has marked a significant stride in agricultural transformation by unveiling the state-of-the-art Hibiscus processing plant, ComttraJigawa, at the Maigatari Export Processing Zone.
Underlining the collaboration between the Jigawa State Government and Comttraex Nigeria Limited, Governor Namadi emphasized the pivotal role of public-private partnerships in fostering economic growth and development. He highlighted the venture as a crucial element in the state’s commitment to value addition and poverty alleviation within the agricultural sector.

Governor Namadi underscored the strategic importance of the processing facility, which boasts a remarkable daily cleaning capacity of six tonnes and a fumigation capacity of 48 tonnes. Furthermore, Governor Namadi reiterated the government’s dedication to ensuring the integrity of Hibiscus products, emphasizing plans to enforce stringent quality standards through the revitalization of the State Consumer Protection Committee.
