The J27 International Foundation made a significant impact on the lives of over 200 widows on Saturday, August 24th, during its inaugural widows’ summit at the LCCI Conference Center in Ikeja, Lagos.

The event, themed “Navigating through Widowhood,” provided widows with essential support, resources, and a sense of community.

Founder Doyinsola Femi-Olaiya emphasized the importance of empowering widows, stating, “Widowhood is not an end but a new beginning. This summit aims to equip widows with the tools they need to rebuild their lives with dignity and hope.”

Keynote speaker Hope Nwakwesi, President of the Union of African Widows, highlighted the challenges faced by widows and the need for societal support. She emphasized the importance of creating an inclusive environment for widows and providing them with the necessary resources to thrive.

The summit featured panel discussions on various aspects of widowhood, including psychological well-being, financial management, and legal protection.

Experts shared their insights and offered practical advice to help widows overcome these challenges.

To empower widows and enhance their financial stability, the J27 International Foundation provided skill acquisition programs and financial support.
