The Industrial Training Fund (ITF) has trained and empowered over 4,000 youths across Nigeria’s 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
This initiative, part of the National Economic Growth and Recovery Programme (NEGRP), is organized in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Budget and National Planning and was conducted nationwide.
Dr. Afiz Ogun, Director General of ITF, announced this achievement last week at the graduation ceremony for participants in Lagos State.

The two-month program offered practical training and entrepreneurship development in trades such as carpentry, catering, tiling, welding and fabrication, and electrical installation and maintenance.
Aimed at equipping Nigeria’s youth with vital trade skills, this initiative highlights the crucial role of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in driving economic growth.
In Lagos, 100 individuals benefited from the scheme, provided at no cost. Graduates received ITF certificates, National Occupational Standard Certificates regulated by the National Board of Technical Education and Business (NABTEB), and starter packs to help them launch their own businesses.
