As part of its ‘IHS Project Empower’ effort, IHS Nigeria has completed a training program for approximately 25 young people in the Yaba Local Government Region.
This initiative aimed to equip people with the knowledge and skills required to start small enterprises.
The event was recently held in Yaba LCDA in Lagos.

Bond Abbe, Associate Director, Government Relations at HIS Nigeria Limited, stated in his keynote address, “Based on our belief that entrepreneurship drives a nation’s growth, we developed the HIS Project Empower as one of our sustainability initiatives to serve as proof of our unwavering commitment to nurturing entrepreneurial spirit for the betterment of our nation, which is in alignment with one of our sustainability pillars, education and economic growth.”
“Through the IHS Project Empower, our main goal is to create an environment where entrepreneurship can thrive by providing acquisition training, funding, mentorship, and support to help young adults turn their ideas into successful businesses.”
According to him, the empowerment program trained over 2,929 young entrepreneurs and innovators, granted awards to 95 young entrepreneurs in 13 Nigerian states, and resulted in the creation of 768 new jobs.
He went on to say that this has a beneficial influence on the lives of over 701,688 people in Nigeria.
