Victoria Island, Lagos, buzzed with activity during the 8th edition of the GTCO Food and Drink Festival, drawing tens of thousands from across Africa to what is hailed as the continent’s largest culinary event.
For three days, the festival transformed VI into a food lover’s paradise, showcasing a variety of cuisines from smoky jollof rice to organic smoothies, local palm wine, cocktails, and dry goods.
Over 36 vendors and 18 restaurants, including Chi Tang Twinwaters and Out of the Box Restaurant, thrilled visitors, alongside exhibitors like Farm and Spice, The Coconut Lady, and Eden’s Honey.

GTCO CEO, Segun Agbaje, described the event as a celebration of culture, food, and small business growth. “Here, strangers become family, and small businesses grow into household names,” he said.
Entrepreneurs like Chinonso Celestine of Eves Organics and ‘Mama’ the street food vendor praised the platform for transforming their businesses. “I now get delivery orders and can train my kids,” Mama said, as she served roasted delicacies alongside her sons.
The festival, now in its 8th year, continues to empower food entrepreneurs and celebrate African culinary excellence.
