Governor Siminalayi Fubara has reiterated his administration’s dedication to empowering Rivers State residents through agricultural initiatives.
During the launch of the 4th phase of agricultural input distribution to farmers in Obio/Akpor, the Governor, represented by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture, Mr. Morris Ogolo, emphasized the government’s commitment to enhancing productivity in the agricultural sector.
Ogolo highlighted the significant role of the Agriculture Commissioner, Victor Kii, in implementing the Governor’s directives, ensuring that Rivers State remains a leader in agricultural advancement.

He urged farmers to utilize the distributed inputs effectively, warning against the sale of these resources and emphasizing the importance of monitoring their use.
The Riv-Cares Result Area 2 Fadama Project Coordinator, Sir Amadi Kingsley, underscored the program’s goal of supporting vulnerable households affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, with a focus on improving food security and agricultural productivity.
Farmers in four Obio/Akpor communities received various inputs, including fertilizers, poultry birds, and agricultural equipment, aimed at transforming Rivers State into a food hub.
