Ebonyi State Governor Francis Nwifuru has hailed the ‘Operation Feed Everybody’ initiative as a triumph following the distribution of essential agro-inputs to 2,000 farmers.
The announcement came during the official launch at the FADAMA office in Onuebonyi, Abakaliki, on Thursday, with the Governor’s Deputy, Patricia Obila, representing him.
Farmers from all 13 local government areas in the state were meticulously chosen to benefit from this program.
Nwifuru emphasized that empowering local farmers is key to overcoming food insecurity.
The FADAMA CARES Result Area 2 program aims to enhance productivity for both crop and livestock farmers by providing critical resources.
The initiative includes the distribution of seeds, cassava cuttings, fertilizers, agrochemicals, poultry supplies, and various farming equipment.

The Agriculture Commissioner, Mrs. Nkechinyere Iyioku, praised the Governor’s efforts and noted that the distribution will continue throughout the weekend across three senatorial zones.
Senior Special Assistant Anthony Nwegede urged farmers to leverage this support to make Ebonyi a key food producer in Nigeria. He encouraged Nigerians to return to farming as a viable solution to the nation’s food challenges.
