Akwa Ibom State Governor, Umo Eno, has reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring the state’s food security through his ARISE Agenda.
During the launch of the second planting season in Idu-Uruan local government area, Governor Eno distributed farm inputs to farmers to support their agricultural endeavors.
The distributed inputs included 10,000 cassava cuttings, 20,000 improved oil palm seedlings, and 5,000 trays of pepper seedlings. The governor expressed hope that these interventions would contribute to reducing food prices in the state and ensuring food availability for residents.

Governor Eno encouraged all Akwa Ibom residents to participate in agricultural activities by planting at least one crop. He emphasized the importance of homegrown food production in achieving food sufficiency and reducing reliance on imported food items.
By providing essential farm inputs and promoting local agriculture, Governor Eno’s administration is taking proactive steps to address food security challenges and improve the lives of Akwa Ibom citizens.
