Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, initiated a significant agricultural support program on Monday, distributing 24,000 bags of fertilizer to local farmers.
This effort is part of a broader strategy to address food inflation and insufficiency in the state.
The ceremony, held at the Olusegun Osoba Press Centre in Abeokuta, also marked the establishment of the State Committee of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) in collaboration with the state government.
Governor Abiodun emphasized that this initiative aligns with the federal government’s objectives under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, aiming to enhance national food security and sufficiency.
Abiodun reiterated the importance of agriculture as the cornerstone of Nigeria’s economy, providing livelihood and job opportunities to millions.
