Gombe State Governor Inuwa Yahaya has pledged ongoing investment in education and human capital development, aiming to empower youth in the state toward self-reliance and skill-building. The governor emphasized that overcoming developmental setbacks in the North East region requires intentional support for initiatives that inspire creativity, critical thinking, and essential skills for future leaders.
Governor Yahaya made these remarks, represented by his Chief of Staff, Abubakar Karami, at the 4th North East Festival of Literature, Culture and Creativity (NEFLiCC), organized by the HalimaFactor Community Initiative at Gombe State University. He noted that the festival serves as a vital platform for youth across the six states of the North East to engage in cultural exchange, foster unity, and showcase the region’s heritage.
“It is crucial to focus on educational initiatives that nurture talent and offer growth opportunities. This festival is a significant step as it brings together diverse voices to inspire the youth of our region,” said Yahaya, highlighting the festival’s role in promoting hope and resilience.
