In a bid to boost food production and empower rural women, Nigeria’s First Lady has unveiled a N68.9 million support package for women farmers in each state.
Unveiled during an event promoting female-led agribusiness, the initiative will fund training, modern equipment, improved seedlings, and soft loans for women cooperatives.

“This is about giving our women the tools to support their families and communities,” she said.
Experts and women advocates say the initiative could transform rural economies and promote gender-inclusive development. Implementation kicks off immediately in partnership with state governments.
