Fire razes shops at Kano’s Kantin Kwari market

A midnight fire broke out at Kano’s Kantin Kwari textile market on Sunday, destroying goods worth millions of naira.

The blaze, which started in a building on Gidan Inuwa Mai Bayajidda Street, spread rapidly, gutting ten shops filled with textiles.

According to eyewitnesses, traders and bystanders made frantic efforts to control the fire and rescue some items before the fire service arrived. Despite their efforts, the flames engulfed the shops, leaving many traders devastated.
