Ladipo Plank Market, a well-known market in Lagos State, was destroyed along with other commodities and property after it caught fire at midnight.
Nonetheless, Dr. Femi Oke-Osanyitolu, Permanent Secretary of the Lagos State Emergency Management Authority, affirmed that no lives were lost in the incident.
“The agency responded to distress calls and arrived at the above incident scene to find that the plank market was being destroyed by fire,” Oke-Osanyitolu stated.

Thankfully, nobody has lost their life. But the inferno destroyed items and property that had not yet been counted.
Officials from LASEMA, the Federal Fire Service, and the Lagos State Fire Service were still working to put out the fire as of six in the morning.
