The federal government has called on state youth commissioners to join forces in creating a comprehensive framework for youth development across Nigeria.
Minister of Youth Development, Dr. Jamila Bio Ibrahim, made this appeal during a consultative meeting with state commissioners in Abuja.
Dr. Ibrahim emphasized the importance of a collaborative approach that takes into account the diverse needs and challenges of young people in different states.
She urged the commissioners to actively participate in federal government initiatives, such as the Restructured Nigerian Youth Investment Fund and the establishment of the National Youth Development Bank.

The minister also announced plans to launch the National Council on Youth, a platform for coordinating youth development efforts. This council will bring together key stakeholders, including state youth commissioners, to ensure that policies are effectively implemented and the voices of young people are heard.
Dr. Ibrahim expressed her commitment to working closely with state commissioners to create a more prosperous future for Nigeria’s youth.
