President Bola Tinubu urges the Chinese government to expand the $2 billion currency swap agreement with Nigeria to strengthen bilateral trade and investment.

He also calls for a reassessment of China’s $50 billion aid plan for Africa to address pressing infrastructure needs.

During a meeting with China’s Foreign Affairs Minister Wang Yi in Abuja, Tinubu emphasizes the importance of increasing the swap deal to support Nigeria’s developmental goals. “The current arrangement is insufficient for our trade and infrastructure aspirations,” he says.
