The Federal Government has unveiled a portal that will enable Nigerian youth to access tricycles powered by compressed natural gas (CNG), aiming to foster business growth and sustainability in the transportation sector.
Speaking at the launch in Abuja, Ayodele Olawande, Minister of State for Youth Development, highlighted that the activation of this portal follows the recent launch of 2,000 CNG-powered tricycles on October 1.
He explained that youths can now register on the portal to be matched with aggregators or owners operating under the Presidential CNG Initiative (P-CNGi), with the opportunity to eventually become tricycle owners.

Other projects, like the Nigerian Youth Academy (NiYA), aim to equip young Nigerians with skills for active participation in the business and employment sectors.
The CNG initiative is expected to reduce transportation costs and create job opportunities for Nigerian youths, while enhancing the nation’s economic stability.
