The Federal Government is stepping up efforts to revive Nigeria’s industrial sector, with a renewed focus on restoring private sector confidence, reviving ailing industries, and creating jobs.
Minister of State for Industry, Senator John Owan Enoh, made this known at a technical session in Lagos organised by the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment.
Themed “From Activities to Outcomes: Driving Industrial Renaissance,” the forum brought together key stakeholders under the Industrial Revolution Work Group (IRWG).

Enoh said the days of symbolic talks are over, stressing that “success must be measured by systems we fix, industries we revive, and jobs we create.”
He announced that Nigeria’s long-awaited National Industrial Policy would soon be unveiled, promising a working document that addresses energy insecurity, infrastructure gaps, and regulatory bottlenecks.
The Minister also highlighted the government’s “Nigeria First” policy to promote local production, citing Ogun State’s adire initiative as a model for boosting indigenous industries.
“We must think execution what can be done in 90 days, six months, one year?” Enoh said, urging bold, result-driven proposals.
The IRWG, he added, will serve as the permanent engine room for industrial reform and delivery, driving Nigeria’s shift from planning to real progress.
