The Federal Government of Nigeria has taken delivery of the first batch of 2,000 tractors from Belarus as part of efforts to transform the country’s agricultural sector.

This move aligns with President Bola Tinubu’s directive to modernize farming practices and enhance food production.

The tractors, expected to be distributed nationwide, will support smallholder and commercial farmers in increasing productivity and reducing reliance on outdated farming methods.

The initiative is seen as a major step toward achieving food security and economic growth through mechanized agriculture.

Government officials have assured that more batches of tractors will arrive in the coming months to further strengthen the agricultural revolution.
