The Federal Government has reaffirmed plans to scale youth agripreneurship as a core driver of Nigeria’s MSME expansion. Speaking at a high-level forum in Abuja the Minister highlighted ongoing efforts to remove barriers that limit young agribusiness owners from accessing land finance skills and profitable markets.
The LIFE ND Project backed by the FGN NDDC IFAD partnership was presented as a model of how strong policy and coordinated support can lift rural enterprises. Officials say the programme is already helping young farmers and food processors adopt modern tools improve product quality and tap into digital market channels.

Government stakeholders note that agriculture remains central to job creation and MSME competitiveness under the Renewed Hope Agenda. The new push focuses on expanding technical training providing business support services improving access to inputs and strengthening value chains for youth-led enterprises.
The Ministry pledged deeper collaboration with the private sector development partners and state governments to build a resilient agrifood system powered by viable youth MSMEs across the country.
