In a strategic move to combat youth unemployment and drive economic empowerment, the Federal Ministry of Youth Development, the Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment, and Sapphital Limited have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to equip young Nigerians with vital skills for success.
Signed by the Minister of Youth Development, Comrade Ayodele Olawande, and the Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Dr. Nkeiruka Onyejeocha, the agreement focuses on two key initiatives: the Labour Employment and Entrepreneurship Programme (LEEP) and the Nigerian Youth Academy (NIYA).
These programs aim to provide skills training, job placement, and entrepreneurial support for youth across Nigeria.
“This partnership is about action, not just promises. By integrating vocational training, technology, and mentorship, we are committed to preparing Nigerian youth for today’s competitive job market,” said Comrade Olawande.
