The Nigerian government’s push to enhance its tech sector has gained momentum with the integration of 500 fellows into Awarri’s team.
This initiative is part of the 3 Million Technical Talent programme aimed at developing Nigeria’s first Large Language Multilingual Model (LLM).
Founded in November 2023, Awarri has expanded its team to 120 members and now includes 500 data collectors from the government’s programme.
This collaboration is crucial for the advancement of Nigeria’s LLM, which will be trained in five low-resource languages and accented English to enrich AI datasets.
Dr. Bosun Tijani, Minister of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy, praised the growth of Awarri and the involvement of the fellows.
