The Minister of State for Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande, revealed that over 10,000 Nigerian youths have benefitted from federal government empowerment programs aimed at fostering entrepreneurship and skill acquisition.
In a statement provided to Nigerian Tribune, Olawande emphasized that these initiatives are part of the ministry’s unwavering commitment to youth development across the nation. He highlighted the Nigerian Youth Academy (NiYA) initiative, a platform dedicated to equipping millions of youths with essential skills and opportunities.
The NiYA initiative is designed to revolutionize youth empowerment by offering job fairs, online and offline training, a dynamic digital community, and start-up support. It also encourages youth involvement in politics and provides a comprehensive lifetime resource hub.

With plans to generate five million jobs within the next four years, NiYA aims to drive a significant transformation in Nigeria’s socio-economic landscape. “This project underscores the Federal Ministry of Youth’s dedication to investing in the future of our young people,” Olawande stated.
Through these initiatives, the ministry aims to unlock the potential of over seven million youths, providing them with the tools and resources necessary to succeed in an evolving economy.
