The Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment has officially endorsed the 2025 edition of the West Africa Industrialisation, Manufacturing and Trade (IMT) Summit, scheduled to take place from Tuesday, October 21 to Thursday, October 23 in Lagos.
Themed “accelerating west africa’s sustainable industrial revolution for economic prosperity,” the summit aims to drive conversations and collaboration around strengthening the region’s manufacturing base and boosting trade.
Minister of State for Industry, Trade and Investment, Senator John Owan Enoh, confirmed the ministry’s full support for the summit, describing it as a timely initiative to advance regional economic development.
“The ministry formally endorses and consents to collaborate with dmg Nigeria events in the successful organisation of the summit and exhibition,” he said, adding that the government appreciates efforts geared towards promoting industrial growth across West Africa.
In response, Wemimo Oyelana, Country Director – Nigeria & Portfolio Director – Energy for dmg Nigeria events, said the endorsement represents a key milestone for the summit and for the region.
“It validates the strategic importance of this maiden edition and reinforces our joint commitment to boosting local manufacturing, increasing trade, and attracting investment into West Africa,” she said.
The summit is expected to bring together industry leaders, policymakers, SMEs, and investors to explore pathways for sustainable industrial growth and trade expansion across the region.
