First City Monument Bank (FCMB) has launched the SheVentures Export Readiness Program, a new initiative designed to help Nigerian women-owned businesses expand into global markets. The program will provide participants with in-depth expertise, targeted advice, and zero-interest loans to fund their export trade operations.
“The SheVentures Export Readiness Program’s mission is to assist women-owned businesses in exporting their products and services globally.” We offer interest-free loans, training, and coaching to assist people in overcoming common obstacles such as a lack of financial resources and a knowledge gap. “Our ultimate goal is to empower Nigerian SMEs to scale beyond their local markets by connecting them with other businesses globally and capitalizing on the vast opportunities of globalization,” stated Mrs. Yemisi Edun, Managing Director of FCMB.
She noted that the SheVentures Export Readiness Program is open to all Nigerian women-owned SMEs interested in expanding into new markets and increasing their businesses.
“The program will include a series of training modules on export market research, product development, and export documentation.” Participants will also have the opportunity to learn from experienced exporters one-on-one.
Nigerian businesswomen encounter numerous hurdles as they strive to build successful enterprises. That is why FCMB is providing additional support to Nigerian businesswomen who own or run a business, allowing them to grow.
“The SheVentures Export Readiness Program is a game changer for Nigerian women entrepreneurs, empowering them to scale globally and bridge the capacity and financial gap that is preventing them from reaching their full potential,” stated Ms. Yetunde Moito, Head of Women in Business (SheVentures) at FCMB.
