The First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has supported 250 Persons With Disabilities (PWDs) in Ekiti State with a N50 million grant under the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI). Each beneficiary received N200,000 to strengthen small enterprises, expand income sources, or launch new micro businesses.
The initiative aims to improve economic independence for vulnerable groups by giving them direct financial support to participate in local commerce and community trade. Officials say the intervention will help many beneficiaries stabilise existing ventures in tailoring, trading, food processing, repair services, and other micro-enterprise sectors.
