In a strategic push to strengthen India’s manufacturing and innovation ecosystem, the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Hafele India Pvt Ltd.
The two-year agreement aims to empower product startups, MSMEs, and entrepreneurs by promoting product innovation, local sourcing, and global market integration.
Signed by DPIIT Director Sumeet Jarangal and Hafele India’s MD, South Asia, Frank Schloeder, the partnership enables targeted investments, mentorship, and supplier development initiatives.
Hafele, a German company, has already invested over $2.5 million in Indian appliance startups and issued purchase orders to local MSME manufacturers.
