Senator Ede Dafinone, representing Delta Central, has launched a new initiative in collaboration with the Bank of Industry (BoI) aimed at empowering small and medium-scale entrepreneurs. During a workshop at the Petroleum Training Institute in Effurun, Dafinone introduced local business owners to various federal loan opportunities and essential financial management skills.
The event drew significant participation from community leaders and entrepreneurs, who found the information transformative for leveraging federal resources to enhance their businesses. Dafinone emphasized the workshop’s role in addressing urgent economic needs, stating, “It connects you with vital resources and reveals a range of federal opportunities that can support your growth.”

Packqueens Irabor, BoI’s Divisional Head for MSMEs in the South-South and South-East, commended Dafinone for his initiative, highlighting a N200 billion federal intervention fund available for diverse business sectors. He noted that the workshop served as a crucial platform for raising awareness about these funding options.
Dafinone urged attendees to share their newfound knowledge within their communities, stressing the importance of financial literacy and responsible borrowing. He concluded by encouraging participants to view BoI loans as tools for development that require careful management and repayment.
