Anambra State Governor, Charles Soludo, delivered the keynote address today at the inaugural Abuja Business and Investment Summit, organized by the Abuja Investment Company Limited.

In his speech at the Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Centre, Soludo emphasized the importance of prioritizing domestic investment as the foundation for Nigeria’s future.

He highlighted the need to cultivate “National Champions” — visionary companies driven by a sense of nationalism. Soludo stated that foreign investment will naturally follow once Nigeria sets a strong example by nurturing homegrown enterprises.

He also stressed the importance of building systems that equalize opportunities, with quality education as the cornerstone. In Anambra State, his administration is providing free education from nursery to senior secondary levels in public schools, alongside free antenatal and delivery services for pregnant women.

Governor Soludo expressed gratitude for the warm reception, particularly from the Hon. Minister of the FCT, Barrister Nyesom Wike, and Ambassador Maureen P. Tamuno, the Group Managing Director of Abuja Investment Company Limited.

He concluded with a call to action, urging collaboration to build a brighter and more sustainable future for Nigeria.
