Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) employees gathered at the company’s Abuja offices to celebrate Garba Abubakar’s dismissal as the Registrar-General and Chief Executive, whom they dubbed a “vicious tyrant.”
The staff members, who can be seen dancing in a popular video, thanked President Bola Tinubu for naming Hussaini Sani as the new Registrar-general for the Commission.
A banner outlining the alleged offenses of the fired Registrar-General was also unfurled on Monday at the entrance to the CAC headquarters.
They emphasized how important it was for the new CEO to not carrying on the former helmsman’s anti-labor actions.

Recall how CAC employees protested in 2017 about poor welfare under the banner of the Amalgamated Union of Public Corporations, Civil Service, Technical, and Recreational Services Employees (AUPTRE).
Additionally, prayers were performed for Hussaini Sani, the recently appointed Chief Executive and Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), by the CAC employees, who are members of AUPTRE, a branch of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC).
